Love-Savers exists to build up and encourage husbands and wives in their marriages. We believe marriage is a God honoring covenant between a man and a woman (Gen. 2:24). Love-Savers bible studies are designed to encourage couples to commit time and energy to their marriage relationship by serving each other as unto the Lord (Rom. 12:9-11). Life has many distractions and influences, and has the potential to separate and divide husbands and wives by busy schedules, caring for children, the demands of the workplace, and more (James 1:13). As church and community groups support couples, they are inspired to persevere and realize they are not alone. The purpose of Love-Savers is "Preserving God's Plan for Marriage, One Family at a Time (Eph 5:31)." The purpose of the marriage relationship is to reflect the glory of God, and reflect the relationship of Christ and His church (Eph. 5:32).
Love-Savers begins in August or September (depending on the study) and run through the month of May the following year. Meetings are every other Saturday with a slightly longer break over the holidays. The study ends before school lets out, as June is a busy time for many families.
Our small group is family friendly. Each family helps cover the cost of sitters to ensure each couple will be able to participate. We encourage families with small children to bring them to Bible study. We also eat together after the night’s lesson. The food is provided by one of the families in the Bible study. Each couple looks at the class schedule and picks a day they can bring a meal (such as spaghetti) for the class.
We believe it is through knowing and applying God’s Word and fellowship with His children that we grow and mature as husbands and wives in the body of Christ (Acts 2:42).
Heart Changers is for women of all ages seeking to connect with God, His Word, and each other. Recognizing that change begins with correct thinking about God and His word, we will be exploring biblical principles which lead to changed hearts, trained minds, and godly lives. As we learn to think biblically, we then have the ability to help others to do the same.
Our small group meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. So, if you are a lady you are invited to attend, fellowship together, make new friendships, uphold others in prayer, and study God’s living Word together with us.
For our commencement study, we will be using Paul David Tripp’s book, Instruments in the Redeemer’s Hands, as our guide. The study runs from October 19, 2011 through May 2012.
Have you ever wanted to study Psalm 119 but were frightened off by its size? Young adults ages 18-30 will be studying this chapter verse-by-verse from January to November
We will be meeting twice a month on Friday nights at 6:00 PM for a potluck dinner and a time of study and discussion on this chapter, eight verses per meeting.
Bring your Bible and a vegetable dish, dessert, or main course to share. For more event details and to RSVP, log into The City.
