The Gospel is both good news and bad.
It is bad news in that God has clearly revealed that we, His creation, are in bondage to our sin. As a result we are blind, walking in darkness, His enemies, and are spiritually dead due to our sinfulness and our sin (Romans 3:10-12; Ephesians 2:1-3: Hebrews 9:27).
But friends, there is also good news for us. The same holy God who must judge us because of our sin is also the one who provides a solution through what was accomplished in His Son, Jesus Christ on the Cross (1 Corinthians 15:3-7).
As Jesus hung on that cross He bore the sin of all men, becoming our substitute, dying in our place (1 Peter 3:18).
So, basically there are two ways to live - this will help guide you to a clear understanding of those two ways. When you are done, please let us know how we can help you in your journey with God. God judged man's sinfulness by pouring out His wrath on His Son (2 Corinthians 5:21). Now that is good news, but only those who believe through repentance and faith in Jesus and what He accomplished on that cross are saved from the wrath of God (Acts 3:19; 16:31; Romans 10:9-10). Sadly, many people know about this good news, but reject it (Romans 1:18-32).
